Moved Ryan Hunter-Reay to the "Highly Probable" section until we get official confirmation, likely tomorrow at 2pm live on Indycar.com. Also moved Hideki Mutoh down from "Possible" to "Long Shot" as I don't see Andretti Racing running 5 cars full time.

done, did it it on Monday, apparently it didn't save. Also added Simona deSilvestra to the list of possibles. She said she has an announcement about coming to the IRL on December 10, and from all I've heard, the ride does NOT involve running in the Firestone Indy Lights. EJ Viso to Ganassi added to the possible list as well.

It would be good to see Simona in the mix of drivers in the IZOD IndyCar Series , but I hope the best for Hideki & Ryan, as accomplished drivers, to have full time rides next season.

13th confirmed full time entry for 2010, Marco Andretti with Andretti Autosport with Venom back as the primary sponsor

Updated Simona deSilvestra to "Probable" for HVM and Nelson Philippe to "Highly Probable" with Conquest. Not sure if Nelson's deal would be full or part time.

I hear the testing went extremely well for both EJ Viso with Dreyer & Reinbold and for Simona de Silvestro with HVM. Moved Simona to highly probably with HVM and EJ to probably with D&R, only moved EJ to probable since I still don't know what the deal is with him going to Ganassi

Just received the unfortunate news that DeFerran Motorsports has close, therefore reducing the possible car count for 2010

Update on the DeFerran Motorsports situation. As of December 18, they will be shutting down their shop and 15 employees will be laid off. They are not putting their equipment for sale, and are still searching for sponsors. There is a small glimmer of hope for 2010, but it looks like a huge uphill battle for them.

Added Justin Wilson and Mike Conway as confirmed for Dreyer & Reinbold racing for 2010. Moved Ed Carpenter and Vision Racing to "Long Shot." Also moved Graham Rahal and Alex Lloyd with Newman Haas Lanigan Racing to possible, as reports now say that that team will only one the run car with Hideki Mutoh, though if one or both find sponsorship they will likely fill 2nd and 3rd cars there.

Now up to 16 confirmed full timers with the announcement of Takuma Sato to KV Racing. Where this leaves Mario Moraes is anyone's guess, open test at Barber is next weekend, so hopefully we'll know something soon!
