The pages are a little out of order and for some odd reason pages 264 and 265 are missing, but a pretty good feature nonetheless. You can shorten the search by typing in "Danica" once you've clicked the link.

Viewers to pick Go Daddy's Super Bowl ad

Would you rather see Danica Patrick showering or admitting to enhancements?

The choice is yours.

In the latest twist to Go Daddy Group Inc.'s annual effort to get the most mileage out of its Super Bowl advertising, the Scottsdale domain name registrar said Wednesday that it is letting the public vote on which commercial should run during the big game Feb. 1

Network censors approved both ads this week, Go Daddy said. At 18 days before the big game, it's the earliest the company's racy ads have cleared the good-taste hurdle.

Go Daddy has purchased one commercial spot in the 2009 game, in which 30-second ads cost an average $3 million. It has advertised in the Super Bowl each year since its 2005 ad was pulled by censors and generated national notoriety for the company.

This year's choices are:

• "Shower," in which a college student tells two buddies that with a Go Daddy domain name and Web site, "I can make anything happen." They watch auto racer and Go Daddy spokeswoman Patrick stepping into a shower and washing her hair, then add a Teutonic blonde they admire from the dean's office to the scene.

• "Baseball," in which Patrick and other women testify before a congressional hearing on "Major League enhancement." When Patrick admits she enhanced her image with a Go Daddy domain name and Web site, one particularly buxom fellow witness indignantly announces, "I'll show you enhanced."

"Baseball" bonuses: Go Daddy chief executive officer Bob Parsons plays a congressman in the commercial. Go Daddy corporate counsel Christine Jones, who has testified before Congress in real life, also appears.

Votes are being taken at www.godaddy.com through Jan. 23. The company says it will reveal the winner during the Super Bowl and show "HOT, Internet-only versions" on its Web site after the kickoff.

Bad news for critics of Go Daddy ads: There is no way to vote for "none of the above."

Go to Go Daddy's Web site to watch the ads and cast your vote.
Danica Patrick delivers firm handshake that demands auto racing respect

Diminutive Patrick eyes lofty potential

DAYTONA BEACH —

The first impression is confusion.

This tiny little woman standing before you is one of the most watched, most known, most recognizable and most powerful people in motorsports. Danica Patrick is 5-foot-2 and slim with straight brown hair and plain, though attractive, features.

Her next move explains why she's the face of the IRL. That handshake, strong and gripping, is the one her father taught her when she was 13 years old. He taught her that her handshake would make people forget how little she was, forget that she was a girl in man's world and think her capable of the big things they both knew she could accomplish.

"My dad always shook everyone's hand really hard and told me to do the same thing," Patrick said. "Shake it like you mean it. That was what he always told me to do and I never knew any different."

This weekend Patrick will kick off 2009 at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona — a race that gets her re-acclimated to racing without the pressure of an IRL points race. From the week after she became the first woman to ever win an IRL race, last season in Japan, Patrick set her sights on the next win. She wants a lot more this season.

"There would be nothing cooler than to follow up a win with another win," Patrick said. "I thought about winning again right away. When you get a taste of it and you just want to keep having it, that's your new solid expectation. Look, I won the last race, why can't I win again?"

Patrick is as tough and determined as her greeting suggests. She has carried an unwavering confidence throughout her life.

When her father ran out of money and couldn't fund her fledgling racing career anymore, she calmed him down and said something would work out. When outsiders asked on a daily basis when she'd win her first race, she believed it would happen and that it should have happened long ago.

"I always had this blind faith that it was gonna go right and it was gonna be a big deal and it was gonna happen and I would do well," Patrick said. "I have no idea where that came from ... it must have been there all along."

She was so confident she would win in the IRL, and so aware of what it would mean to the racing world, that she, her father and her publicist had a plan ready for how to handle the week's worth of interviews. They knew who to call, they knew on which shows they wanted to appear, they knew which interview they wanted to do.

It happened in April. Patrick was relieved.

The celebration couldn't last long. The very next week, the IRL raced in Kansas, back in the United States where Danicamania was bigger than ever.

The next hurdle is having a multi-win season and contending for a championship. She also wants an Indy 500 win more than anything.

That's why her passion is so visible during those races and why her frustration is, too, when things don't go well. During last year's Indy 500, she stormed toward an opponent's pit, ready to chew him out for wrecking her.

"I think being a girl she has to have a little more fire than the guys because she has to stand up for herself a lot more," said T.J. Patrick, her father. "It's not like she can go and push a guy because they can't push back. She can chew them out. Most women love that, a lot of women would love to be able to do that, stand up to the guys, but just don't have the demeanor to it."

He taught her to be strong and not back down — and she's never stopped doing that.
Tissot to Unveil T-Race Danica Patrick Watch

The Tissot T-Race Danica Patrick watch will be launched this spring in a limited edition of 4,999 pieces.

The T-Race Danica Patrick white color watch has design details in the blue of her team. It includes a white mother-of-pearl dial and a sculptured, white rubber strap. The timepiece is housed in a sporty, stainless steel case with a checkered flag marked on the rotating bezel. The checkered flag also finds its way on to the white case back, where it underlines Danica’s lightning-bolt logo. The watch is priced at $595.

Patrick, the first woman to win an Indy car race, became a Tissot brand ambassador in 2005 and both parties said they are committed to a long-term partnership.
This watch far inferior to the 2008 edition weird that Tissot would take a step back. Probably because of the economy they are trying to bring the price down. Though the 2008 edition does have 27 diamonds it retails for $795 where this new one minus the diamonds and Danica's engraved signature is $595. The diamonds alone actually still makes the 08 watch a better deal, in my opinion.

Toronto Star Website

Auto racing superstar Danica Patrick will be at the Toronto International Auto Show this afternoon and tonight to sign autographs, answer questions from the media and promote the Honda Indy Toronto race that will be run through the streets of the CNE July 10-12.

The Andretti-Green team driver, who became the first woman to win an Indy car race last year, was recently linked to a new Formula One team that will be based in the United States. Other reports have her eventually moving to NASCAR.

But Patrick, who became the first woman to lead laps of the Indianapolis 500 in 2005, is under contract for 2009 and will be racing in Toronto this summer with her Andretti-Green teammates Marco Andretti and Tony Kanaan.

Other drivers expected to race in Toronto this summer include 2008 Indy 500 winner Scott Dixon and Graham Rahal, son of Bobby Rahal who won the inaugural Molson Indy Toronto in 1986.

The Molson Indy was promoted at the CNE and along Lake Shore Blvd. W. for 20 years, finishing its run in 2005. It was then promoted in 2006 and '07 as the Grand Prix of Toronto, part of the Champ Car World Series. When Champ Car and the Indy Racing League merged a year ago, it was too late to unify the two schedules and Toronto lost its race.

Honda Canada and Andretti-Green Promotions got together late last year and announced the Honda Indy Toronto would be part of the 2009 Indy Car Series schedule. The first race in the series, which includes the Indy 500, will be held April 5 in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Patrick will appear at the Honda Canada exhibit at the auto show in the north building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, starting at 2:30 p.m.
