Danica 3rd in Nascar diecast sales

Lionel NASCAR Collectables Top 10 diecast of 2012: When it comes to die-cast sales in 2012, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is king per a top 10 list released by Lionel NASCAR Collectables, The Official Die-Cast of NASCAR. Earnhardt's #88 Diet Mountain Dew Chevy was the best-selling 1:24 scale die-cast of the year. In addition to the top spot, Earnhardt also claimed spots two and four. Danica Patrick's #10 GoDaddy.com Chevy die-cast was also a hit in 2012, ending the year at third place on the list. For the second year in a row, a NASCAR Classics die-cast also made the cut. Released in April, Dale Earnhardt's #3 Goodwrench Chevyt Monte Carlo, which he wheeled in 1989, took the eighth spot. The Top 10 Die-Cast Cars of 2012 are:

Well--the facts she was NEW to the Cup series this yr even PT and that may have caused the big sales of her #10 diecast so we'll know more after next yr if her sales are still up there? Dale Jr's sales just keep riding high yr after yr so thats fairly impressive considering he has lots of people who dont like him either and some say his popularity is dropping but there are those who will always try and diss those who are popular--just how it is?.

Danica has had solid Diecast sales all three years she has been in Nascar. If you ever look at a Beckett Price Guide (they list the value of Trading Cards and Diecast cars for collectors), Danica's trading cards and cars are some of the most valuable in Nascar.

Check out this link to the 2012 Lionel Nascar Year in Review catalog...you can see how many were produced via Lionel and the paint schemes that sold out, etc... Danica is very strong but Dale Jr is simply in another world compared to every other driver out there. :

Thanks for the link--interesting? Her 1 race schemes like Tissot, Hot wheels, Sega or Honoring Our Heroes, (one of my favorites) werent shown so guess they didnt make the sales cut to be shown although I own those. Her charity pink cars showed though?

Dale JR has been racing in this series quite awhile and his popularity is amazing but also could be bad. Someday when he does leave Nascar it could affect the fanbase unless another driver moves up in popularity to replace him, but Nascar does have several other popular drivers who could do just that in time as Jrs popularity is dropping per reports? Course many say having just one main popular driver can be a bad thing also as it needs all their drivers to bring in their fans and not to rely on one popular face of the series, but for now JR is the face of Nascar just like Danica was the face of Indycar all her yr there. Based on JRs fanbase Danica wont be replacing him soon if ever, unless maybe she wins some races etc greatly increasing her popularity and some time passes-- but--who knows?
