Call me crazy, but I don't see Danica's future in doubt as this guy does

I saw the articles touting this new partnership between GoDaddy and Deutsch and while you can take 1+1 and get 3 depending upon your viewpoint...I think the leap the 'haters' are taking to this meaning GoDaddy will dump Danica is ludicrous.

Just because they have hired a new ad agency doesn't mean they will be dropping their primary spokesperson...in fact they will most likely just find new unique ways to feature her.  Based on everything that has been reported Danica's sponsorship has paid off in huge returns for GoDaddy.  It would be crazy for GoDaddy to totally throw away the investment they have made in Danica.

I'd like to think they can both have some flexiblity to mature together even in a world of fine print agreements..

No matter what the story, one thing never changes; everyone tries to shoehorn it into the same old tired anti-Danica drivel that has existed since she first put her foot to an accelerator. It's always "Doomsday for Danica!" with these folks.

Also, reading some of the comments attached to these articles highlights two things that seem to come up regularly:

1. Other drivers are suffering for lack of sponsorship while Danica has no problems, and it just isn't fair. The truth is, if Danica Patrick had never been born, these same drivers would still be suffering from a lack of sponsorship. Her sponsor money isn't part of a limited pool of funds which is available to be divided up among a certain number of drivers.

2. The nonsense that if Joanna Long had the same equipment as Danica she would be getting checkered flags. We've all heard this before about Milka, Simona, Bea and every other woman who has competed against Danica. The fact is, if Joanna was as talented as these folks think she is, she would already have the best equipment. She's young, she's pretty, she's another woman competing in a man's world and if she was as good as Danica, she'd be picked up by a top tier team in a heartbeat. And you can bet that NASCAR would be building a promotional campaign around her. They're not.

I think GoDaddy likes to talk to encourage more press...  How many companies get this many articles about hiring an ad agency?  It's not like they haven't had commercials without Danica before so I'm not sure why the fact that she isn't in their olympic ads is a big deal.  Also, wasn't it just a few weeks ago Barb Rechterman was touting how much exposure they have gained by sponsoring Danica just this year alone?  Do you really walk away from that brand synergy you have built?

I'm pretty sure IMG has Danica's interests protected regardless of the direction GoDaddy decides to go.

I think people are just over reacting about Danica & Godaddy.

And the only reason GoDaddy is getting this press is because of how the decision to hire an ad agency effects Danica.  If Danica were not connected to GoDaddy, these stories would not have been published.

Here is an article from Lee Spencer w/Fox Sports on GoDaddy and Danica.  She actually spoke with most of the parties involved and seems to be a pretty fair look at the situation.

Actual reporting from a reporter....imagine that.

Then there's the David Newton route and mooch off Nate Ryan/Bob Pockrass' interview with her on Wednesday about it by asking a question to her during her press conference as Newton did (read the articles, Newton) . Or you can go the Jay Busbee route with this foolishness.

Did you know that Yahoo was named in honor of the type of people they were seeking to attract?  Other names considered were Moron, Dipstick, Idiot and Butthead but were thought to be too limiting. Yahoo covers all those bases, and sounds better.
