Danica's Helmet

Does anyone know the story behind Danica's helmet?
Drivers from time to time change their helmets but Danica has used the same designed for at least 15 years. All drivers have a story about their design and love to tell it. I have just never seen anything about her design.
(Reggie, if you stillhave contact with Mr Patrick it might be a good question to ask him).
