Agreed, but on the other hand it makes me really appreciate Sarah Fisher, James Hinchcliffe, Oriol Servia, Helio and even Bobby Rahal so much more for congratulating Danica on her accomplishment, particularly Bobby because of how things have been since she left RLR.

I also thought it was a bit classless of a couple of IndyCar drivers to try and kiss up to Chevy and GoDaddy without mentioning Danica or SHR... They probably thought that made them looked good to them but it was so obvious that it just made them look like tools. Especially since RLL Racing congratulated their former driver Danica Patrick and Bob Rahal sent a tweet telling DP congratulations and to now finish the job. Just reinforces what I've thought about some of those folks in IndyCar.

Thanks for giving us a view into a part of the run we were not aware of, at least I was not. It's very good news.

Fox's ghost car did a good job of showing that Danica made her time down the backstretch. There was speculation about wind during the telecast, but I thought it was interesting that the exact thing was happening when she won the Nationwide pole last year. Other cars were faster earlier in the lap, but Danica carried speed right through the end of the lap where other cars seemed to stall out. That she did it two years in a row like that suggests there is at least something to the line she's been running at Daytona and the speed she made up today on the backstretch.

I am suddenly (suddenly as of last night) unable to access the nascar.com site. Every time I try, I get a message saying, “The page isn’t redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. The problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.” I get the same message on Internet Explorer.

To my knowledge, I have altered nothing that would effect cookies, though I’m not knowledgeable enough to find out. Can anyone offer any help? If I can’t resolve this by Saturday I’m going to be very unhappy.

David, nascar site is currently a disaster site. It is superficial flash with little content and info. It is completely down for long periods. They have had the whole off season to get beyond beta stage, yet that is where they are. It's unforgivable and unprofessional. You might try accessing it from a BING search page and see if that works and/or tru accessing it from MSIE.
