Early weather report for Friday, 60% chance of rain and if that happens/qualifying gets rained out.....Mike Bliss goes home and nothing against him, but I hope that happens, after all, what's the point of having that car in the race to run less than 12% of the laps as he did at Phoenix this past Sunday.

Well Ive see some gloom & doom here sometimes so heres something to be concerned about. Danica has to basically qualify on time in the top 36 at Vegas or she will go home and not be in the race as her points arent good enough vs the others in the race esp if they beat her on speed. An ariticle said they easily did well qualifying at Vegas last yr and that means Bliss and others. A Rain-out is the only gauranteed way danica would get in on her lousy 42nd points.but  now there are 44 for Vegas but most all of them have more points then she does if it comes to that.so if she cant qaulify on speed in the top 36 she may not be in the race--period. Fingers crosssed, but luckiy they will get testing time tommorrow so hopefully they learn something and dont screw her car up for qualifying on friday if the weather holds? This is the last big test race as even if she DNF at Vegas she will go into the following race with around 30 points thanks to daytona, instead of 42--just saying IF?. Course the old agument is if she cant out qualify some of the low funded and S&P teams then she doesnt belong anyway?

Practice/test sessions today. Danica was 31st in session 1 and 19th is session 2. The 2nd session lasted 3 hours and she only ran 19 lap, far fewer than most drivers. She was fastest of the 3 SHR cars and I don't know what they were trying to learn about the cars but speed did not seem to be on the priority list.

First session they were all about race runs, then the second session Tony Gibson had her in qualifying trim the entire time trying to get her more comfortable with it so they aren't always starting towards the back.

Ironically though, if qualifying gets rained out they go by 2012 owners points and she would start 42nd.

If you go over to youtube and search for  nascar  hauler parade in vegas  you will see a number of videos by fans lining the street as the haulers go by.....  and guess what...  more cheering for Danica's 10 hauler than the others...  they seem to easily recognize the GoDaddy hauler and Danica...  there are about 6 long videos over there so far.

Be patient Danicas truck is pretty far back near the end  in the parade, maybe lined up by owners points probably?

Look's like it is raining in LasVegas.  Bob Pockrass says it's in the 50's so he estimates at least 2 hours to dry the track once it stops.  If due to time they only run practice instead of qualifying they would probably line up based on practice speeds rather than owners points but if both practice/qualifying is rained out today they will line up based on owner's points and Danica will start 42nd.

Also, Danica is scheduled to be in the media center at 1:15pm ET today.  You can watch on nascar.com.

Also important to note that the only way Bliss makes the field is by qualifying in the top 36, if they have practice, but don't qualify - he's out.
