Apparently you have to sign in and then can vote once every day now till season ends. You can bet tons of JrNation fans will be voting lots every day so dont know if Danica has that many that will do that? She may have won the NNs award but this is Cup and lots of other drivers are popular as well to split the votes--time will tell--alot of it.

ATTENTION DANICA FANS

I want to clarify the voting process for Most Popular Driver. You can vote once per day, PER EMAIL ADDRESS. This is from the NMPA website:

Voting begins at 12:00 AM (EST) on February 14, 2013 and ends at 11:59 PM (EST) on November 18, 2013. Voting is limited to one vote per person per email address per day.

I currently have 10 email addresses that I use exclusively to vote for Danica. It took me less than 5 minutes to cast 10 votes for her today. It only takes a few minutes do an internet search for “free email” and set up 10 accounts. Be sure to make a list of your email addresses. Then go to the NMPA website and set up an account there for each email address. Then you will be able to cast 1 vote, per day, per account for Danica. It will make the voting quicker if each of your email addresses begins with a different letter. That way when you return to vote, after setting up your accounts and casting your initial votes, all you need to do is type in the first letter of the first email address on your list and the NMPA site will auto-complete it for you from the cache. It will also auto complete your password. (At least that’s how it works for me.) Do the same for the rest of your accounts and you’re done. You can also use the same password for all 10 accounts. That way if something happens to your cache, you only have to remember one password.

 

We all know who our chief competition is going to be in this election. Junior Nation not only has large numbers, but they are also well organized. They use multiple accounts (usually 3 or more) to vote. They send each other reminders to vote each day. Since voting began on February 14^th, that means we are already two weeks behind. I know we are also behind Junior Nation in getting our organization in place, but we still have time. The members of GoDanica7 will be key to our success. If everyone will make the commitment to cast at least 10 votes a day for Danica, we will have a chance to catch and pass Junior Nation. I picked the number 10 because it’s a nice round substantive number. It also happens to be Danica’s car number. If you think 10 votes a day is a lot, just be glad that we aren’t Carl Edwards fans.J

 

Superstar!

One advantage we have over Junior Nation is that Danica is an international Superstar. So while Junior has a Nation, Danica has an entire Planet! We need to use her international fame to our advantage. I know there are members on this site from outside the US. You folks need to spread the word in your home country on Danica fan sites, blogs etc. If we can effectively mobilize a global army of Danica fans, we can beat Junior Nation at their own game.

Ground & Pound

If we are going to stand a snowball’s chance of defeating Junior Nation, we are going to need a ground game that is second to none. We need to work social media like crazy. We have a huge advantage over Junior Nation in this area. Dale Jr. doesn’t do social media. Danica, on the other hand, has over 775,000 twitter followers. She has gained nearly 70,000 followers since Speed Weeks began. I guess making history has its advantages. While I realize that Danica will not lobby her Twitter followers to vote for her, that doesn’t mean that we can’t. To organize our ground game, I have taken the liberty of creating a Twitter account, @DanicaPlanet, that will serve as our campaign headquarters. Since I am new to social media, I don’t have any followers/friends to mine for votes. This is where I am going to need your help. Those of you who are active on Twitter & Faceook, please tell your followers/friends, who are fellow Danica fans &  Danica followers to vote for Danica and follow @DanicaPlanet. By getting people to follow @DanicaPlanet we can build a database of voters. I can then send out daily tweets reminding people to vote for her. One way that we can identify citizens of Danica Planet is for everyone to put #DanicaPlanet in your Twitter bio. That way it will make it easier for people to identify other citizens of Danica Planet and follow them. When sending out tweets we can also include #DanicaPlanet to help spread the word. Like I said before, I am new to social media. If anybody has any other ideas about how we can use social media to help our cause, please speak up.  It will take maximum effort from everyone to defeat Junior Nation.

Since the Great & Powerful Web Master of this site has the email addresses for all of the members here, I would like to ask him to please send an email to all members with information on how to vote for Danica for Most Popular Driver. Danica’s strongest supporters are members of this site. We are going to need each and every one of them to be active participants in this campaign if we are to have a chance to shock the world and defeat Junior Nation.

Danica has said many times that she wants to get good results at the race track so she can give us, her fans, something to cheer about. Last Sunday, in the Daytona 500, she did exactly that. I was especially proud of her when she passed Michael Waltrip to take the lead and make history. It reminded me of 2005 at Indy when she passed Dan Wheldon on that late restart, took the lead and made history. She is going to spend 35 more weeks this year working her butt off in a 140 degree race car to entertain us and give us a reason to cheer for her. I think the least we can do for her is to show our support by doing everything in our power to make her the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Most Popular Driver.

A Planet will rise…A Nation will fall!

This is your wake up call, Danica Planet. Let’s get to work.
