Disappointing finish for sure but it would've been worse if she was having a great race and not just slogging through.

Now this may just be in my little area of the world, but I'm noticing a shift in perceptions as they relate to Danica. I'm catching some people (including the announcers) be slightly more objective and slightly more realizing of just how much perceptions have been skewed. I like Johanna Long but I'm seeing people (grudgingly) accept that she is not their shining beacon of truth that she is great and Danica isn't. I think Travis Pastrana is decent but I'm seeing some acceptance that he is still a rookie and makes the same mistakes and mediocre runs that others have.The hard core haters are still idiots but there are some previously misguided people who are coming around.

Onward to Vegas! She loves this track and I hope and pray for the best for her.

I saw a reporter on twitter who was chatting about Danica with some fans and of course he got the Johanna is better stuff why aren't you paying more attention stuff... He then re-tweeted someone and said 'exactly' to someone who said when Johanna Long leads the Indy500 she'll get more coverage. :)

Well you know if Ricky kicks Danica to the curb his first call is going to be to her (in her mind). :)

Danica Patrick is 22nd in the standings after a 39th-place finish at PIR. Her boyfriend,Ricky Stenhouse Jr., is ninth. Stenhouse hasn't done anything spectacular or historic, but he's been the more consistent of the couple battling for rookie of the year with a 12th in the Daytona 500 and 16th at PIR.

I hope that hit she got at PIR did not shake her up so badly that it will affect her performance at Las Vegas. She could use a good finish. She sounded soooooo frustrated especially at the beginning of the race in Phoenix.

How did I know that was going to be written by David Newton? This guys seems to be really fixated on Danica & Ricky...he can't seem to have a thought (on just about anything) without including a jab at one or the other in regards to them being together.

Yep, Tony Stewart's disdain is appropriate and well-earned by Newton.
