Ah, yes, thanks for setting me straight.  I even have both those races recorded and I've watched them several times, but the aging process has caused my memory to do strange things sometimes.

I think you mean the Texas race, and she did chop him in retaliation for what he did to her at Indy that year and he full well deserved it.  Homestead, where she also finished 2nd, was where TK played the blocking game for about 20 laps until she finally got around him. Then, he came down and hit her coming off turn 4.  None of that got mentioned.

I couldn't help thinking of Danica's "chopping" of TK in the 2010 Homestead race

I know what you mean.

Unfortunately, IndyCar can't stand positive press...lots of reports of a few owners pushing for Randy to be fired.

My count: 3 owners, 1 former CEO, 2 team managers and a former champion. Goodnight.

FWIW, it ain't Roger Penske. He re-confirmed his support of and ended the silent treatment with a Friday peace treaty.

it is true that an owner is calling others trying to get me fired. I have had several owners confirm this. disappointing

I'm not sure why they would be pushing this agenda now but in my opinion Randy gave them a lot of leverage by sending out that tweet... (how high school is it that he is tweeting about this...not the right forum for him to be commenting on in my opinion).

Agreed.  Never, ever, punch downward.  It shows weakness.

Then again, if I were a driver or team owner who got stuck with a Lotus engine, I'd probably be calling for his head too.

A tweet is definitely not the right forum for Bernard's response.  Very high school is a good way to put it.  A press conference presenting a pro-active position from a podium would be a lot better.

Actually, I think you handle it behind closed doors...  Someone has to be the adult in the room and Randy too often seems to get his feelings hurt and takes to twitter to rile up support.

Based on him tweeting that it isn't Penske he obviously knows who it is so be a man and deal with them directly...if he doesn't feel like he has the power to handle the situation directly then he needs to just walk away from the job because he can't be effective.  When you are the boss not everyone is going to like you so he just needs to confirm with the board (i.e. Sisters) that he has their support.  If he has the boards support then he shouldn't even be commenting on the rumors it just makes him look like a weak leader (in my opinion).

After checking out TrackForum it appears these rumors originated from a Robin Miller local Indianapolis radio interview in which he indicated it is some Chevy owners who are trying to get him removed.  Since Randy took to twitter to basically confirm the rumors, the question I would ask is there more behind the supposed movement than just a few unhappy Chevy owners and is this a power play on his part to try and shore up his support?

Why am I NOT surprised to hear this? The ratings for the 500 were actually better than last year and it's best since 2008, which was when open wheel was unified again, but now.......same 'ol, same 'ol. The man in charge ticks off the masses, the masses pull a power move to go ahead without him in some form.

I've seen this movie before, don't like it. The owners need to shut up.
