Watkins Glen..."Danica Patrick Nascar Graduation"...+10.

I would have to say Road America.  It was so much fun watching her come up over that hill at high speed dogging the back bumper of one driver or another, watching her drag racing side by side with somebody else, watching her pass Justin Algeier (twice!), watching as she "powered past" (Rusty Wallace's words) Juan Pulado [sp?] to take the lead before "learning my lesson" when she lost it a couple of turns later.  Rusty Wallace, noting Tony Jr.'s comment about her "not fighting back" when other drivers leaned on her, said "She's not giving an inch of ground in this race," and as she was running up front, in the top 5, Andy Petrie said, "Look who she's racing with!  Ron Fellows, Nelson Piquet, Jr., Jacques Villeneuve -- these are some of the best road racers in the world.  You say Jacques Villeneuve's a world champion, and he's not even catching her."  And even after Villenueve, who had used up his brakes and deliberately hit her car in order to slow himself down and get around the turn, punted her off the course, she caught herself, gunned it, spun around and drove back out onto the track to keep on racing, something exceptional, because, as the announcers said, driving yourself out of a gravel trap is a very difficult thing to do.

The Bristol race in August, starting 34th and finishing 9th

She then followed that up the next day in the Cup race by being in the top 20 and on the lead lap with 66 laps to go at Bristol in her first Cup start when she got turned by Regan Smith. She didn't get the result she wanted, but that race was the first sign of her being competitive in the Cup car in an actual race.

I will have to agree with Damon. The Bristol races in August were my favorite races in 2012. As it has already been pointed out, Danica was on the verge of having a top ten Nationwide finish and a top twenty or top fifteen lead lap finish in her first Sprint Cup race at the world's fastest half mile venue. I attended both events and several people's eyes were opened to what she was capable of doing.

I'll go with the fall Phoenix races both NNS and Sprint Cup.  I was expecting these races to be a struggle again as she had struggled in all of her Nascar races at Phoenix.  But these races really showed how much she has learned this year.  She had strong late race restarts in both races.  She quickly got up to speed in the Sprint Cup race and drove with confidence throughout the race.  

NNS - 10th

Sprint Cup - 17th (after being punted while running in 13th)

I Speak of Watkins Glen but the Montreal Race was very good until the shoe appeared.

I must be missing those "obvious reasons" why Watkins Glen should be anyone's favorite race of the season.  Isn't that the race she crashed out of before the first lap was over?

I meant Montreal actually; didn't realize I put Watkins till just now. Unfortunately it is uncorrectable at this point.
