NASCAR Success

Hello Everyone, it's great to be here!

I've been reading stories online, questioning Danica's decision to compete in both NASCAR and IRL circuits. I'm always surprised how many racing fans comment negatively, suggesting that Danica shouldn't try and won't succeed if she does. Such fans also seem to think that being ranked in the top 5 competitors in a male dominated sport is "no big deal" ... as if any of them has achieved this.

When I select women to work with, their personality, character and energy are always the deciding factors ... the camera records everything, and what we see, as viewers, is the person. Such a point of view misses the point of life, not just of auto racing, while Danica clearly understands and lives the point of life: find what you love, explore as much as you can, do as well as you can, and have as much fun as possible. People who live this way have amazing lives, and that's what I call success. Will everyone agree with their decisions? No. Will they claim victory in every attempt? No. Will they be ranked #1 in every endeavor? No. Life is not about how many points you score; it's about living your dream with as much passion and intensity as possible. It's about expanding who and what you are to your fullest potential. No matter what the NASCAR results, Danica is already a huge success.

Many sports fans only follow predictable winners. Why? They don't enjoy the disappointment of watching someone they associate with deal with a loss. I'd much rather follow someone who lives with passion and takes on exciting ventures, than someone who lives safely in realms where they can count on predictable "victory".

Real victory in life isn't about who finishes first, it's about who has the most fun living their dreams. And I don't imagine the people who live the sort of life Danica does spend a lot of time checking out what the average couch potato and barfly think of their latest career and/or personal decisions. They're too busy living their dream life.

Danica may kick some serious behind in NASCAR, she may not. Either way, I won't have any trouble recommending her as role model to my daughter.
