How is what he did any different than what other drivers have done in the past. Prevention is the only way to stop potentialy killing. Overly agressive driving any time (example: tapping the rear quarter panel also blocking which in my opinion is what happened to Danica.) should be punished. NASCAR car design is reminds me of NASA rocket scientist, it took a highschool student to figure out how to build a better engine. Continue

As with any sport the final numbers don't always tell the true story and they may not be a true indicator on how the participants performed. I also find it truly amazing and interesting in how quick some people are in judging how a performer's success is going to be, when they apparently have no clue on the subject or a dream of their own. When someone looks at where Danica finished in her first three Nationwide Series races: 35th at Daytona, 31st at California and 36th at Las
Too bad things turned out the way they did. Danica was doing a great job staying out of trouble and observing the insanity known as Daytona. At the time of the unfortunate accident that was not caused by the 7 but took out the 7, Danica seemed to have been making some headway as to the best route to take to return to the front. She managed to stay out of trouble and had even advanced some 6 spots at the time of caution. I feel she would have finished top 15 or so if not better, but she did gain… Continue

Danica will appear on CSI NY tonight @ 9:00 Central on CBS in an episode in which her leading competitor's car explodes just 2 days before the "big race" and Danica is a suspect. Her fellow driver is played by Antonio Sabato Jr. Sounds like Must See TV to me!!! Continue

What an exciting start to Danica's stock car career. Kinda cool she had some anxious moments which gave her valuable experience. I thought she drove the hell outta that car tonight. I'm very proud of her. She handled herself very well, drove a careful race but also made moves when necessary. To get in some trouble and then rebound the way she did is totally awesome, great job Danica! Race Daytona next week...Continue

The year is finally here. The one so many supportive hearts had imagined, dreamt of and wished for. The year so many nay-sayers and critics were dismissive and trivializing of as never a true possibility:
The year when Hercules (NASCAR) meets Xena (DANICA).
We’ve watched in awe fill… Continue

The absense of Danica in the list of female athletes is to be expected. She declined to pose this year. So SI is getting it's revenge on her. They are used to dealing with models. They come when called. Apparently it offends them when a model has other things to do. So the model becomes a non-person. Who said life was fair? Continue

Her main concern?
''I felt most disoriented with how the heck I am supposed to get my stuff on?" she said following a rain-shortened ARCA test. "I can't get in the car with all that stuff and I can't buckle my belts and I can't do it with my helmet on. So I get in the car and I have to tuck my hair down the back of the suit and I can't do it because I am strapped in and I am just awfully confused, so I decided I needed everything on but my helmet and then get in the car.
"It sounds silly, right… Continue

Some of the best Danica Patrick and team audio :
Danica: “Since we need friends out here should I start handing out gifts or money?”
Spotter: “We won’t need friends if we’re leading.”
Danica: “It’s tough to get a run on these guys [chuckle].”
Danica: “We need to freight train the guy in front, he’s too slow.”
Danica: “If only I had snacks in my car. Maybe we should build something.”
Crew: “You need something now?”
Danica: “No, I’m a big girl. I can wait the last hour.”
Danica: “We may ha… Continue

Hello Everyone, it's great to be here!
I've been reading stories online, questioning Danica's decision to compete in both NASCAR and IRL circuits. I'm always surprised how many racing fans comment negatively, suggesting that Danica shouldn't try and won't succeed if she does. Such fans also seem to think that being ranked in the top 5 competitors in a male dominated sport is "no big deal" ... as if any of them has achieved this.
Such a point of view misses the point of life, not just of auto r… Continue
