Danica is doing awesome , even with all thats going on with the media blitz. she is still 5th in points and well on her way to making her mark in Indy. I hope she knows what a talented driver she really is, She seemed a little down on herself at her finish, and I see her point , she lead 22 laps and even though her car seemed to loss its bit there at the end, staying in control and finishing her race is a positive thing. I believe you have to take a step back at times to gain two steps forward.. she is an AWESOME driver and I hope she knows just how GIFTED and TALENTED she really is... she is what the fans need a breath of fresh air and a positive influence to a world with such negative day to day out comes.. she is An awesome person and talent ... Thank Heaven For # 7. GOD SPEED RACE ANGEL

Well we all have are moments, she has had a couple that although where justifiable, she went about them the wrong way. "Napoleon" complex thats a good way to put it, but .... I think everyone knows now that she wont be walked on and deserves the respect as a competitor . I think she has proven that size dosent matter and as for a woman , she's all that and more . but in proving that to others , she has proven it to herself and thats the difference, she is her biggest critic. she believes that if you are going to do something , do it right or don't do it at all. immense admiration for her goes without saying in my book. again " Thank Heaven For # 7"

When you look at the top drivers, they mostly have reasonably calm demeanors, no matter what happens. Dixon is bitchy sometimes and usually directs it at Danica but the rest are pretty calm in the face of the vicissitudes on the track. Helio has been known to get a wee bit perturbed. I think Danica may have a bit of a "Napoleon" complex going, based on her size and gender but it's looking like she has matured beyond it. It's hard for any male , in or out of racing to fully comprehend what it has been like for her, the first woman to truly become one of the boys, in terms of a being a true competitor. I have immense admiration for her steel and grit. She is one incredible lady.

yeah I tend to agree. I do think it's all happened as a result of losing that hothead attitude that has been the subject of a lot of critisism in the past and experience is now also coming into play. That's why Matos can't finish a race.
I do think that staying with AGR will achieve nothing though.
Bryan Paul Comment by Bryan Paul on June 23, 2009 at 6:08pm
She has done well this year on ovals, she just gets better and better all the time. AGR has taken here as far as they can Opppppps!!!! I mean I think that she has Out grown what they have to give her. and with the crap from JA feeling neglected , she should and I hope she goes to TCGR. ever sence she took a step back and changed her driving attitude , she has really done well, she is solid and on a roll.

Well judging by her performance at Long Beach I think we could be in for a treat away from the ovals. Definately top 5 with the tools she's got and next year, well if it's TCG then who knows.

I stand corrected at 24 lead laps instead of 22, I dont wanna ever short change her . I think that a move to TCGR would be a fantastic move for her , and as was stated until its INKED i wont resting easy . and also the fact that she still has some growing to do in INDY it might be better for her to make Indy her primary job, I am also a NASCAR fan , but my driver of choice is Danica, Thanx to all who have given there feedback,

I think it was Roush who said that currently, if any woman driver is likely to be the first in NASCAR, it would be Danica. He wasn't saying necessarily that she would be running for them.

Don't worry about the taxi league, she can do both if she signs with Chip, with Indycar full-time and taxi's part-time.

Now for a complete off-the-cuff idea: In years past ESPN has done an 8 show series on Marco Andretti's 2006 rookie season in Indycar and a 5 show series on Dale Jr's move to Hendrick, so why not a series on Danica's 2010 season she moves to a new team for Indycar (Ganassi) and tries out a new series (Nascar) in the process.

Call it, "Danica: The next chapter"

Damon, Yes, I did and I was heartened by it but until a contract is inked, I will not rest easy. Of course, we still have to worry that the taxi league will lure her away.

Jim,

Did you hear Mike Hull's comment during the pre-race feature about Danica's future? I'd say that offer from Ganassi is pretty "bona fide".
